Girl in the Red Jacket – Audio Book Installation
This project emphasises the delicate relation between a person and their emotions of nostalgia and Heimweh. The personal diary of an unknown girl is found and read out by a stranger – an audio book that opens a window into the deepest most personal feelings of this character. A series of videos create the mood and depict the images in the mind of the reader – the themes of isolation, alienation, emptiness and wistfulness combine to form an audio/visual installation piece that highlights the absence of this girl.
