Insektroniken are simple electronic circuits that mimic the swarming intelligence of insects. Theyactivate one another by fast light flashes and buzzing sounds. This results in a communicative chain reaction that is promoted by darkness and limited by light. It creates a network of vivacious communication even over long distances. Due to their simplisticnature, it requires little effort and very low-cost components to produce new entities. Ultimately, their parasitic presence will analogously occupy niches and conquer surrounding spaces.
