Christian Losert

Christian Losert was born 1988 in Lindenfels, DE, and lives in Berlin. He studied Soundstudies at the Berlin University of Arts with Prof. Dr. Martin Supper, Prof. Robert Henke and Prof. Hans Peter Kuhn and currently works as an installation artist, musician, art-teacher and art assistant / project manager for established artists.

 

His installations have been shown at Urban Spree Gallery Berlin, DE, Kühlhaus Gallery Berlin, DE, Ars Electronica, Linz, AU, Art Directors Club, Frankfurt, DE, Club Transmediale Festival, Berlin, DE, Electronic Music Week, Shanghai, CN and more. 

 

His current practice focuses on kinetic and audiovisual installations incorporating sound and movement. Controlled by generative algorithms his work discovers fragments and borders within our human perception.

 

Between 2015 and 2016 he worked as the head oft the artistic planning department of Robert Henke’s Lumière performance project and supervised site specific details.  Since  April 2016 he teaches the course “spatial installations” at the Media Arts and Science faculty at the University of Applied Science in Darmstadt, DE.
